Cruising in the South Devon area gives access
to some of the country's most beautiful coastlines, steeped in seafaring history.
Home port is the port of Brixham at the South West end of Torbay. Providing
protected sailing in Torbay with easy access to Torquay, Teignmouth and the River
Exe. Portland Bill is just 38 Nm and the Solent can be reached in a
day. Sailing West will take you to Dartmouth, Salcombe, the River Yealm, Plymouth,
Fowey and the River Fal and Helford River. For the more adventurous the traditional
ports of Looe and Polperro beckon.
Brixham
is ideally suited as a start point for a trip across the Channel to Cherbourg or
the Channel Isles and from then onto the testing coastline of France and locations
such as Granville, St Malo, St Quay-Portrieux, Treguier and North Brittany.
